Randy Schuster – Financial Planner* (Managing Partner)

For over 2 decades, Randy Schuster has been a highly successful Financial adviser and is a member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the Premier Association of Financial Professionals®. He has carved out a unique niche within the industry by focusing on the coordination of planning.

When dealing with closely held businesses, working in conjunction with their qualified tax professional, Randy helps guide his clients through the complex tax code in large to midsize estates, planning for business continuation and succession transfer issues of privately held firms, and wealth accumulation strategies. For corporate clients, the planning elements are crucial to an exit strategy. The focus is to provide an up-to-date, effective plan that encompasses the goals & objectives of the executive & his family.

Professional Achievements

Randy has earned Centra Financial Group’s Leader of the Year award* multiple times. Randy is a life member of MDRT, during which he has actively volunteered on several committees and spoken at their annual meeting. Randy has been a guest speaker at RIT’s Sharpen the Saw leadership event, the Rochester Chapter of NYSSCPA & Monroe County Bar Association, Provident Mutual Top 50 Conference, and at other industry related functions.

As an author Randy has collected over 65 stories of the early struggles and pivotal decisions of local business leaders which he has published into two books, Turning Points and Turning Points 2. He has donated over 10,000 of these books to local schools in collaboration with Junior Achievement and Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection to encourage the next generation of young adults to think big and build the life of their dreams here in the Rochester community.

Growing Up

Randy was exposed to his own family’s transition plan at Marjax Enterprises, a firm founded by his grandfather. In its day Marjax was a regional powerhouse sporting goods chain in which Randy worked beginning at 10 years old. Today he uses this experience to help owners of family and closely held businesses to develop and implement sound business plans.

Education, Hobbies and Interests

Mr. Schuster earned a B.S. degree in Finance from Indiana University in 1984 and has studied extensively to hold the Certified Coach Executive designation. He also holds several FINRA licenses. He serves on the boards of the Al Sigl Center and Jewish Federation of Rochester. He and his wife Ernestine reside in Rochester, NY with their two sons, Daniel and Matthew. During his free time, Randy loves to read, play competitive tennis and create efforts like his next book project.

David Goodfellow – Financial Planner* (Partner)

Building strong client relationships and delivering top notch customer service is at the forefront of everything David does. His singular focus at Coordinated Plan FP, LLC is listening to his clients’ specific situations and empowering them through focused planning and education to make the best financial decisions for their futures. His passion for connecting with clients and creating a path to their financial goals began in 2008 and continues to grow each year.

David joined Coordinated Plan in a tactical step to increase his services offered and continue to focus on the coordination of planning with business owners, executives and their families.

David is a lifelong resident of the Rochester area graduating from Gates Chili High School and then attaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Information Management from Roberts Wesleyan College. He holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 designations. In his free time, David enjoys a round of golf and stays active in the community with his local church.  He lives in Attica with his wife Lacey and his two boys, Tate and Tyler.

Kris Dussmann – Financial Planner Associate*

As Randy’s first hire in 1996, Kris brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance/investment industry. She has held both administrative and management positions and has a thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures within the industry. She provides full service for all retirement plans including participant education, enrollment and ongoing support as well as individual client service and support. Kris holds a New York State Insurance License for Life, Health, Disability, and Variable products, Series 6 and 63 securities licenses and is certified through New York State for the New York State Partnership for Long-Term Care program. Kris is a resident of Fairport, New York, and enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor adventures and traveling the world.

Robert Williams – Financial Planner Associate*

Robert joins our team after going through Centra Financial Group’s Emerging Adviser Program. He brings a strong understanding of the life insurance and investment industry along with a passion for helping clients. As a service adviser Robert is responsible for supporting the team in numerous roles from servicing our clients to financial strategy development. Robert has a Masters degree in Finance with a focus in portfolio management, holds a New York State Insurance License for Life, Health and Variable products, as well as series 6 and 63 securities licenses. Residing in Webster with his wife, Robert enjoys being active in his community through involvement in several organizations including Rotary and Rochester Young Professionals. Robert enjoys spending his free time with family and friends attending concerts and sporting events.

Thomas McKay, CLU – Director of Financial Planning*

Tom has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, as an adviser and advanced planning specialist. His areas of expertise include advanced estate, business succession, and non-qualified benefit strategies that allow clients to achieve their planning objectives. He earned his CLU designation from the American College and is a *Registered Representative of Hornor Townsend & Kent and holds a New York State Insurance License for Life, Health and Variable products. Tom is a member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals.

Kimberly Dwyer – Director of Operations

Kimberly has over 15 years of experience in financial services, in both the investment and life insurance industries. She has an extensive background in customer service within the financial industry, working with individuals as well as corporations, providing a hands on approach and a personalized experience to all service needs. Kimberly is responsible for overseeing the investment and insurance needs of our clients and is a point of contact for any service related inquiry. Kimberly enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and cooking.

Debra Curtis – Registered Service Associate*

Debra has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years, developing diverse knowledge in the areas of life insurance and investments. Her experience adds tremendous value to our team and the full range of client services provided. She is responsible for servicing the investment related needs of our clients and is the main contact for tax related matters as well as all other ongoing client inquiries. The privacy and protection of our client’s information is requisite to Debra’s role. Her goal is to elevate your overall client experience by responding efficiently to all service needs. Debra is a Registered Office Assistant of Hornor Townsend & Kent and holds a New York State Insurance license for Life, Health, Disability and Variable products. Debra resides in Webster and enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters, golfing and traveling.

Patti Conklin – Relationship Manager

Patti brings over 30 years of experience working in the financial services industry. The relationships she has created with not only the original clients, but their children and in some cases, their grandchildren are what Patti enjoys the most. Her experience servicing client relationships and new business implementation makes her an extremely important part of the team.

Patti graduated from Syracuse University with a dual major in Public Relations and Journalism and a minor in Business Administration. She resides in Bloomfield with her husband Tom. They have two grown sons and recently became grandparents.
